Yoshi's House
Template:Level Yoshi's House (also known as Yoshi's Tree) is a tree where Yoshi lives during Super Mario World. This tree has a fireplace, a mail box and seven berries (ten in the Game Boy Advance remake), and it is located in Yoshi's Island.
When Mario and Luigi came here there was a note that Yoshi had gone to find his kidnapped friends. After Mario and Luigi saved Yoshi's friends, Yoshi went to play with them, and he left another note that he was gone, because he was playing with his friends.
The only time Mario and Luigi can see Yoshi in his home is during the credits, where Yoshi, Yoshi's friends (the newborn Baby Yoshis), Mario, Luigi and Princess Toadstool are throwing a party.
Yoshi's house appears in Mario Superstar Baseball, where it cameos as a Yoshi's Story-reminiscent cardboard cutout in the background of the Yoshi Park stage. Also, several trees lined up in a suspiciously similar design decorated the goal areas in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS. One of these tree setups even appears on the map of the original Yoshi's Island, and this may be the individual Yoshi's House. Several houses similar to in appearance to Yoshi's House appear on Yo'ster Isle in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Yoshi's House appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2 at Sky Station Galaxy, but, like in Super Mario World, Yoshi's not home. The sign in front of his house says something similar to what the block said in Super Mario World. Although the house is not a tree like in Super Mario World, it is similar, having the sign reporting that he isn't home and there are berries on the roof as before.
Trivia
- The symbol on the mail box is Japan's postal service logo.
- In Super Mario World, the four birds on top of the roof are the same colors as the four colored Yoshis.
- The white stripe along the ground is also found in the Super Mario World test program, suggesting that the level was finished early in development.
