Fava explains how Neon Eggs are made.

During events of the game, Boddle offered Mario and Luigi a piece of the Beanstar, but only if they could find seven Neon Eggs to decorate his Yoshi Theater sign. To learn about how to get these, the bros. needed to speak to Fava, sitting in front of the projection screen of Yoshi Theater. Fava explained to the Mario on how to get these; by digging up Bean Fruit, and giving it a Yoshi, who will then lay a Neon Egg. So, the Mario Bros. were put up to the task of finding seven Bean Fruits, buried throughout the Beanbean Kingdom. Once finding them all, the two heroes were able to give the special fruit to the Yoshis. This will cause the dinosaurs to burst with happiness, and lay a bright Neon Egg. When the Marios presented these seven eggs to Boddle, he willingly gave them the Beanstar piece they longed for.
