Template:Galaxybox The Flipswitch Galaxy is a rather small galaxy having only one mission in the game Super Mario Galaxy. The Galaxy is composed of a set of Flipswitches which Mario must step on. After all of them have been touched, a Power Star appears. The background is a scene from Super Mario Bros., as shown in the pictures. Even though the level sounds simple, a robot spawns out circle shaped lasers which can damage Mario. Some Flipswitches are also covered with moving spiked platforms that can hurt Mario.

This Planet that Mario starts and ends on is covered in exactly 18 Flipswitches. It contains a Robot that releases circular lasers, some spiked platforms, and a few electrical barriers. Once the player steps on all the flipswitches, turning them yellow, then a Power Star will appear, and the barriers and platforms will be deactivated.

Block Planets

These breakable block planets are seen when Mario is flying to the Flipswitch Planet and can't be reached without hacking. They are made of bricks and look like the blocks in Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros.. These blocks tie in with the scenery after Mario gets the star as the level's background becomes that of a Super Mario Bros. game.

In this level, Mario needs to step on every blue Flipswitch so that they all wind up being yellow at the same time. There are also some spiked platforms Mario has to cross. After turning all the Flipswitches yellow, they will turn green and the Power Star will appear. Mario then has to use the spring-necked robot on the top of the planet to reach the Power Star. To win Mario must, from the start, go straight down until he reaches the bottom. Then he must go to the side and avoid the spiky platform. After pressing the button that the spiky platform passes over, Mario must ride the spiky platform back up until he has cleared that whole side. He must then methodically clear the top of the planet while avoiding the shock waves from the laser machine. Finally, he must clear the last side of the level which has a much larger expanse of spiky platform than the first side did therefore making it more dangerous. Once Mario has cleared that, he must travel back to the top and use the laser machine to get the Power Star.
