The Levitation Beam is a machine owned by the Koopa Troop that can levitate very large objects. Although its origin was never explained, it was probably built by Kooky von Koopa.

The Levitation Beam was only ever seen in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Reptiles in the Rose Garden", where it was used to lift the White House off the ground, so that Bowser could warp it to Dark Land. Bowser later used the Leviation Beam to position the White House over the Mushroom Sea, where he let it sink.

After Mario raised the White House from the bottom of the Mushroom Sea, he took control of the Levitation Beam, and used it to warp the White House back to Washington. Although Mario accidentally managed to position the White House on top of the Washington Monument, he remedied this action by placing it back where it belonged.

Upon returning the White House to its proper spot, Kootie Pie Koopa threw a temper tantrum. Mario then used the levitation Beam to send her back to Kastle Koopa.

Trivia

  • There is a similar machine known as the Kooper-Dooper Raiser-Upper that appears in the episode "Up, Up, and a Koopa". However, the Raiser-Upper works more like an anti-gravity beam, for it makes anything that it hits float upwards into the sky indefinitely, and its effects last until the machine is used in reverse.
