Mario's Puzzle Party is a 4-player mini-game found in Mario Party 3; it later reappears as a Puzzle mini-game in Mario Party DS.

Gameplay

The player has to break the colored blocked by connecting 2 or more blocks to get points. Bricks occasionally fall down to make the mini-game hard while Thwomps occasionally drop by and help the player decrease the blocks' size and/or getting combos. The player who reaches a certain amount of points (like 500) wins. If any player gets his/her screen completely covered before reaching this score, he/she will be taken out of the game. The DS version has a few changes to the mini-game. The top screen reminds the player about the Thwomps, while the bottom screen shows the entire action. Also, when the player manages to clear all the blocks he/she once put in the bag, then that player will be awarded a bonus 1000 points.
