Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 is the sequel to Mario Kart Arcade GP. It is the second game in the Arcade series. The game seemingly has custom karts for characters, similar to Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart DS. Also what seem to be several new items have been revealed. The game is the predecessor to Mario Kart Wii and successor to Mario Kart DS.

How To Play

To play the game, the player has to insert a certain amount of money or tokens into the game. First, the player can adjust their seat within the time limit by moving a lever near their feet and sliding to any position on the arcade machine. After that happens, the player can choose a character to play with. Then the player has to take a picture of him or her within the time limit, if the player didn’t take the picture; a countdown starts to force the player to take it. Then the racing starts as the player has to be in 1st place. If the player gets a lower place, the player has to do it again to unlock the course by giving the game certain money or some tokens. If the player got 1st place, the player will move on if the player pays the game another token or dollar(s).

The Mario Card

A Mario Card is the data card (or save file) that appears was copied from Mario Kart Arcade GP and appears in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. It appears in all sorts of different colors and designs.

The player's amount of VS wins (if any)

Modes

Grand Prix

In Grand Prix, the player races against computer drivers for winning the throphies in every race. There are three engine levels available: 50cc, 100cc and 150cc, with 50cc being the slowest and 150cc being the fastest. There are four rounds in each cup within this order: Track A, Track B, Track A, Track B. After have completed each round, the player will get a challenge, somehow similar to the Mission Mode appeared in Mario Kart DS.

Time Trial

In Time Trial mode, the user tries to get the fastest time on the tracks. Rainbow Coaster and Rainbow Downhill can be raced on regardless of the player's GP Progress.

Note: Time trial is not avaliable on all machines.

VS

After inserting coins, the machine starts a search for VS races. It is similar to Bark Mode on Nintendogs. If found, the player selects the track and speed. The players play against each other and for computers.

Mario Coins and Coins

Mario Coins, are coins that the player can pick up in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. If the player gains an amount of Mario Coins and Coins, the player can unlock prizes to save on the player's Mario Card (eg. new karts, special items).

Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 doesn't feature the normal cube item boxes seen in previous games, it comes with multi-coloured, hexagonal item boxes. They have a white question mark while fake item boxes have a white, upside-down question mark.

All characters from Mario Kart Arcade GP will be returning along with two new characters, Waluigi and a Tamagotchi named Mametchi.

Although these characters are not playable in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, they all make small cameos somewhere in the game.

Techniques

Start Rocket

At the start of the countdown, "1" is displayed, press down on the accelerator and the timing of the dash to start with the cart! It is a simple technique always try to succeed. Start rocket is successful or not significantly changed in the early battles you will.

Jumping
