Peach and Daisy are the most prominent Technique-type characters

Technique, also called Technical or Skill, is a type of playstyle used by various characters in sports spin-offs in the Super Mario franchise. Technique type characters are generally known for focusing on precision over other stats such as speed or power. The type has appeared in many sports titles, such as the Mario Tennis and Mario & Sonic series, among others. Princess Peach is almost always a Technique-type character, while Princess Daisy and Waluigi are often Technique-type as well.

Notes

  • The Playmaker type was called テクニカル (tekunikaru, "technical") in the Japanese version of Mario Strikers Charged, but its stats were more closely related to the Speed type.[2] The type was renamed to Speed in Mario Strikers: Battle League, where a proper Technique type was added.
