Ms. Mowz
- “And now, it is time for us to part, my little cheese hunk!”
- —Ms. Mowz, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Ms. Mowz is a Little Mouser encountered in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. She is the only optional party member available in the game – and depending on when the player acquires her, she is either the sixth or seventh member to join Mario's party. She is known to constantly flirt with Mario, which tends to annoy Goombella and Flurrie (Goombella occasionally calls her a floozy.) She has the useful ability to sniff out any type of item (Similar to Watt's ability from Paper Mario to show hidden items), ranging from coins to items to Star Pieces, although this ability is more like playing hot and cold than a straight answer. She also possesses the ability to cut through Defense. Mario's first encounter with Ms. Mowz depends on whether or not he has been to the Lovely Howz of Badges in Rogueport before. If so, he can see Ms. Mowz (who has her tail curled up into a heart) without her mask there (She also happens to be the manager there). His first storyline encounter with Ms. Mowz is at Hooktail Castle. She also appears in Chapter 2, the Great Tree in Boggly Woods, and Chapter 3 in the Glitz Pit storeroom.
When Mario goes to the Trouble Center and accepts one of the troubles, namely the one marked "Elusive Badge!" by ??? (amusingly, he is told that taking anonymous requests could be dangerous), he finds that it is Ms. Mowz who put the trouble up. She asks Mario to find a badge in Hooktail Castle. She says that she knows it's in Hooktail's room, but is unsure exactly where it is. She says that she has a clue: "Use The Power of the Wind...". If the player goes to Hooktail's room and blow on the area where Hooktail was before with Flurrie, a flap will blow away, revealing a chest that has an Attack FX badge inside. When he takes the badge back, Ms. Mowz reveals that she hid it there herself to test Mario's skills, and if he can find badges then she wants to be with him, and joins the party. At the very end of the adventure, she continues running her badge shop.
