Up to four of them can appear, making the battle extremely difficult..For each one that is protecting Grodus,His defense goes up by one, excluding when there are four out which makes him invincible Mario should use any Shooting Star, Thunder Rage, or multiply-hitting items he has left to take these out, although players must also conserve items for the surprise battle with Bowser and Kammy Koopa afterwards.
