Derived names proposal
You really should remove the "faia" example from the middle option for the reasons that LTL explains here. Basically, "faia" is just the English word "fire" adapted for a language that otherwise cannot support the word "fire" (as pronouncing "fire" literally in Japanese would be "feeray"). But there's more reasons than that. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:15, December 5, 2024 (EST)
- I left a comment acknowledging that just before seeing this. I was aware of faia being a loanword, but not that the wiki has an existing policy to always write them in their English form. I might need to see how people would feel about changing that policy with this proposal, but given the coverage of Japanese subjects on this wiki it would probably be for the best to remove it from the proposal. --PopitTart (talk) 22:39, December 5, 2024 (EST)
Co Gasagoso
Regarding the (maybe rhetorical but whatever) question on your list regarding "Co Gasagoso", the only other enemy I can think of or am able to find that uses that prefix is Blooper Baby in SMB3 (Ko Gessō). Otherwise, small enemies in the series usually use "chibi", "mame", or "petit". So I think that one should probaby stay as is. Blinker (talk) 18:07, December 7, 2024 (EST)
