Italics
I've seen you go back and forth with this, but keep in mind that any game title you name on articles needs to be in italics (as TheFlameChomp has done for you here). MarioWiki:Manual of Style lists some basic guidelines for editing (including sections) if you'd like to give it a read. Mario JC 21:01, 14 February 2019 (EST)
If I didn't apply italics with a game title, it was a mistake. B700465189a9 (talk) 17:24, 15 February 2019 (EST)
Off/Off Switch comment
Hello, please note that replying to old comments is against the rules. Also, your reply to Mario Jc is disrespectful to a bureaucrat. Thanks for your understanding. Doomhiker (talk) 19:05, 25 February 2019 (EST)

Sections
Please avoid creating separate sections if there isn't enough distinctive information to split them, and especially not with empty sections. Mario JC 20:04, 3 March 2019 (EST)
- Okay. Is a list of appearances in levels enough to split them? B700465189a9 (talk) 15:54, 4 March 2019 (EST)
Unfinished pages
Hello, if you are not done making a page, then please add it to a document, make a user sandbox, or add the {{construction}} template to the page instead of creating an unfinished page. Thanks! Doomhiker (talk) 15:46, March 12, 2019 (EDT)
- Per all but the last one. You shouldn't create stub articles marked with {{construction}} so it can be finished later; it must have a sufficient amount of content from the start, but if little information has been revealed about the subject, wait for more information to be released before creating it. Please follow the MarioWiki:Manual of Style when creating new articles as well. Mario JC 21:55, March 12, 2019 (EDT)
Please stop Making stub articles on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
You have created another stub article. Pages must have all available information before being published. As said before you can create a document or make a sandbox to store your writing before publishing it, if you need more time then you currently have. Doomhiker (talk) 18:18, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
New subjects
Subjects in an upcoming game use {{new subject}}, not {{upcoming}}. Mario JC 23:49, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
- Ok. B700465189a9 (talk) 17:17, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
Categories
Hello, B700465189a9. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]]or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |

The category link needs the "Category:" prefix to work (Category:Super Mario Maker Images, not Super Mario Maker Images). Mario JC 19:37, May 15, 2019 (EDT)
- Error on my part, although I was trying to use Category:Super Mario Maker 2 Images. Tangentially related: shouldn't forms be separate listings on Super Mario Maker, if we're going to split Goombas from Goombrats? B700465189a9 (talk) 19:46, May 15, 2019 (EDT)
User subpages
Your User:B700465189a9/Userboxes/Game completion is not allowed. The code for the userbox can just be placed on your page, you don't need a separate page for the userbox. 17:16, May 16, 2019 (EDT)
Templates
I understand the use for {{SMM2 difficulty}}, but I don't think it's coded correctly. "2" only displays one star, for instance. Unless it's supposed to be that way, I haven't played Super Mario Maker 2 yet.
But what is {{Loop}} supposed to be for? 16:33, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- I am not experienced with MediaWiki syntax. {{SMM2 difficulty}} is meant to show a star rating (parameters 3 and 4 produce ★★★☆), and {{Loop}} was meant to accomplish it. B700465189a9 (talk) 16:42, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- At its most basic, the template would look something like this:
- {{#switch:{{{1}}} |1=☆ |2=★ |3=★☆ |4=★★ }}
- And so forth. 17:25, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- That's with a defined maximum number of stars. The previous version took two parameters for minimum and maximum stars. B700465189a9 (talk) 07:30, July 20, 2019 (EDT)
Does the source of your Cat Shine image really latches? I could not find it on this website. 15:38, January 13, 2021 (EST)
- Turn "Reduce Motion" off, then it will appear in place of the video that shows the image at one point. B700465189a9 (talk) 15:41, January 13, 2021 (EST)
