The magic portals summoned by the Gold Ghost

Magic[1] is a move that can be performed by the Gold Ghost player in the Nintendo Land attraction Luigi's Ghost Mansion. By holding down ZL Button and ZR Button on the Wii U GamePad at the same time, the Gold Ghost uses magic to charge a semicircular gauge, surrounding themselves with a purple aura; however, doing this makes the Gold Ghost visible on the television screen, revealing their location to the ghost trackers. If the gauge fills completely, when the Gold Ghost player releases ZL Button and ZR Button, a group of large, purple portals appear on screen. The portals briefly remain harmless to trackers before activating, during which they flash white at their center and release ghostly apparitions. If any tracker is caught in an active portal, all of the light from their flashlight is drained, rendering them unable to use it; if a computer-controlled Monita player gets caught in the portals, they are stunned temporarily. The activation of the portals also causes any batteries on screen to disappear. Trackers that have fainted are not affected by the portals.
