Secret Course 2[1] is the secret level of the Space Zone in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. To unlock this level, the player must find the secret exit door in the moon stage. Once this level is unlocked, the expression of the moon on the map becomes peeved rather than happy due to the secret level appearing in the form of a large star lodged in his face. Once this level is completed, his expression becomes sad instead.
Layout
There are many coins throughout this level Mario is able to collect. However, there are also narrow pits most of the coins appear over. If Mario falls down one of the deeper pits, he is unable to get back up and must go directly to the end of the level. However, there are blocks which can be seen in some of the pits which signal safe places for Mario to fall down. The first safe pit contains one block and two coins. The second safe pit, in the middle, contains several blocks and five coins. The third and final safe pit contains two blocks as well as two 1-Up Hearts. Along the way, there are a few Poros orbiting moon blocks. At the end, there is one angry star with blocks above it which lead Mario up to a Hidden Block which contains the last 1-Up Heart. Mario is then able to use the door to exit the level.
