Before I'm forced to log off, here's about Starmie's general awesomeness: Since Staryu evolves with a Water Stone, it can potentially evolve at Level 1 after you hatch a Staryu (breed with Ditto - it's unknown gender) and use the Stone. Now, as you may know, evolved forms of any Pokemon have their stats grow more than their previous form. Also, when a Pokemon evolves, their Base Stats increase to their next form - so if you haven't noticed, after evolution your Pokemon will have much higher stats, not shown in the level-up stat-boost thing. Take note of your stats before one evolves and see the big jump (especially Dragonair > Dragonite). So, from the earliest level you'll get evolved-form stats, increasing the max higher than one evolved at any later level. Starmie's Water/Psychic types are good, because Starmie has a good movepool using good STAB moves like Psychic and Surf. The best Special Sweeper set is Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam and Thunderbolt. EV train 252 in Speed and 252 Sp. Atk, 6 HP. And Natural Cure ability is awesome. Make sure you get Modest nature when your egg hatches. To increase your chances, use a Modest Ditto and have it hold Everstone. Any Ditto or female Pokemon holding Everstone has a 50% chance of passing on its' nature, father Pokemon passes on moves only.
