Shouldn't something be said about how in Super Mario Galaxy, Bowser was able to retreat into his shell and roll around like a spiked ball? Also, in Super Smash Bros. Melee (not sure about 64) he was able to duck out inside his shell at some times. Should this be mentioned here? -TheDenzel

I wouldn't think so. I'd think that that would belong in the Bowser article...perhaps under his sections about SSB and SSBM. — Stooben Rooben The shell is an item, whereas Bowser is performing those moves...not his shell.

Wait, so his collar is a part of his shell? And more relevantly, does SMRPG's Shell armor class deserve a mention here? Binks 04:22, 18 September 2008 (EDT)

Name

Shouldn't this be called "Bowser Shell"? This refers to Shells that resemble Bowser's but are not the one he normally wears. "Bowser's Shell" would refer to the shell Bowser has on, not the similar item he uses. Obsessive Mario Fan (talk) 16:43, June 7, 2019 (EDT)

Depends, what is it called in-game or in the manual? --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 16:59, June 7, 2019 (EDT)
It's listed as "BOWSER'S SHELL" on page 21 of the Mario Kart: Double Dash!! manual. LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:01, June 7, 2019 (EDT)
If Bowser's Shell is the only or highest ranking official name, then it has to stay. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 17:04, June 7, 2019 (EDT)

Huh?

Shouldn't we mention that the Bowser's Shells in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! also feature Bowser's scales on their undersides, unlike future appearances, were they only have the plastron there? 11:55, July 7, 2023 (EDT)
