- The man-eating fish enemy from Super Mario 64 (pictured), localized in English as "Bubba", is actually Cheep Chomp with an early design.
- Richard Yearwood, Benedict Campbell, and Andrew Truss, who respectively voiced Donkey Kong, King K. Rool, and General Klump in the Donkey Kong Country TV series, reprised their roles in the fan-made short DKC: Return to Krocodile Isle.
- Pipsy's spot in the roster of Diddy Kong Racing was originally intended for a boxing kangaroo named "Roo".
