Not to sound rude but, where would this template come in handy? - , ,
Redirect oddity problem
- I worked on previous pages such as Mario Kart 64#Drivers, and Mario Kart Super Circuit#Drivers.
- While editing, I noticed an oddity:
- I cannot put "{{color-link|Princess Peach|Peach|blue}}" because it will not function properly.
- The only way I can made this color-link work is having "{{color-link|Peach|blue}}".
- The user is supposed to go "Princess Peach" (article), not "Peach" (redirect).
- MarioWiki:Redirects states that "Linking to redirect pages is discouraged, so always try to link to the actual page name and use the piped-formatting to correct the name if necessary."
- Is this one case where it cannot be fixed?

- Use : "
{{color-link-piped|Princess Peach|blue|Peach}}
"-- 00:07, 4 July 2013 (EDT)
- Cool, tried it. It works. Thanks!
- By the way, I fixed a minor error on your part even though you tried to fix it.
- I didn't know there's another type of template that allows this; I checked {{color-link}} before this happened.
- I read "Also see {{color-link-piped}}", and thought that must be for something else. I didn't thought it would be used specifically for redirects.
- I would've preferred if the message was more clear, regarding redirects to be specifically.
- It would say like "Regarding links specific to redirects, see {{color-link-piped}}". --RAP... 00:33, 4 July 2013 (EDT)
- It is not just for redirects.. It is for piping links.. So I prefer the wording as it. Template:Color-link-piped-- 01:48, 4 July 2013 (EDT)
