Water Ski Spree
Template:Minigame-infobox Water Ski Spree is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 8.
Introduction
Four Shy Guys drive motorboats through the water, each with a player riding behind one on waterskis. A Shy Guy throws a Spiny behind it, and the first player dodges it. The screen then splits into four sections, and the minigame begins.
Gameplay
The objective is to collect as many coins as possible. There are coins on the ramps, and the player must move left and right by turning their Wii Remote. Sometimes there is a ramp on each side, and there is a coin on only one of them. The Shy Guy piloting the boat will sometimes throw Spiny Eggs behind them; hitting these will stun the player and render them unable to move for a few seconds. The maximum number of coins possible in this minigame is 17.
Ending
The four players are all hooked on to the same boat, all waving their hands in the air. If a player does not collect any coins, they will do a losing pose instead. However, if no one collects coins, the four players stay hooked on their boats while the screen stays split as they do their losing poses.
