Talk:Extra life

Shouldn't this be moved to 1-Up, since that's an official name from the games? Hello, I'm Time Turner.

I think so... in case "Extra Life" is not official as well. Time Questions 09:54, 23 January 2010 (EST)
In case it helps, the Super Mario Bros. manual states:
If Mario picks up 1 up mushroom, he gets an extra life.
"1 up" is used only as part of the item here, and "extra life" as the term for the additional life you get by collecting it. The rest of the manual uses "extra life" and "extra Mario".--vellidragon 09:43, 4 February 2010 (EST)
Well, I guess "Extra Life" is official. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

1up chime notes

The page currently claims that the notes are "g C E C D G", but to my ear it sounds much more like "e g E C D G"? Where is that information actually sourced from, are the notes different in different games?

Notes sound different from person to person, so what you hear may be different from what other people hear. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 15:46, 14 February 2019 (EST)
Okay, but notes aren't actually different from person to person. That just means that one of us heard wrong, which I already know. :P I'm asking if anyone has any information about which one of us is wrong. If there isn't already a clear source that's fine, I'll look in the ROM instead.--RavenWorks (talk) 21:21, 14 February 2019 (EST)
I just checked, and in fact both are valid. It depends on the game. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:41, 14 February 2019 (EST)
