Yes, Nintendo Power clearly states that it is a butterfly. Though it isn't a partner, more like a guide you can find.Knife (talk) 21:10, 23 February 2007 (EST)

Name

In the new issue of Nintendo Power (issue 215), they refer to him as Tippi... Should we move this page title to another one? --Bentendo 15:27, 26 March 2007 (EDT)

how'd she get the name tippi if she lost her memory? Luigi Time!

Tipton?

Is the true? It seems a bit farfetched. -- Sir Grodus

The last two sentences are obviously untrue.

I was wondering too.--Aipom_Banana_2.gif Aipom 424.png--

Tiptron is true from what I heard. You can buy the model from Francis, the lizard geek. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 12:16, 8 April 2007 (EDT)

I really don't think this is true...it seems....Un-Nintendo-like. Tadaa!2.gifPlumberTadaaa!.gif 12:18, 8 April 2007 (EDT)

I've heard the rumors, Dashell and Piccolo too. It's sort of like the end of Super Mario 64.--Aipom_Banana_2.gif Aipom 424.png--

I can assume Dashell makes Mario run faster, not sure about Piccolo. Wikipedia removed those characters so their probably not true. I don't think its true but if Wayoshi says so...

Out of all of them, Dashell is the most believable.--Aipom_Banana_2.gif Aipom 424.png--

Well, Dashell is defintely real, he's in the player guide, but I'm not sure about Picolloo. Brawlslce.gifA fan of Yoshi | Here

Yes, I've completed the game, all of it is true. I got Tiptron, Piccolo but not Dashell :( oh, and Nastasia's picture has proof.

Dashell (beat flipside Pit of 100 trials), tiptron (go to fort francis after you beat the game, bring 999 coins), and piccolo (sidequest to long to explain here) are all real! - Invincishroom eater

Ya we kinda know that now, this section was made before the game was released. Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC

Married?

I doubt that. Is it true? Max2 (talk)

Yes,I cant reveal the whole story but, Count Bleck and Tippi used to know each other before as different identities, Timpani and Blumiere. They really loved each other and wanted to get married but Timpani was human and Blumiere an unknown race of Shadow people, and according to his race's laws, they were not allowed to marry different species. Blumiere's dad transforms Timpani into a Pixl and sends her to a different dimension.

That's all i'm going to say;) Artwork of Boshi from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven StarsMat_Rix_007

I thought Merlon said that he turned Timpani into a Pixl because she was dying. Tadaa!2.gifPlumberTadaaa!.gif

No, 'TIPPI'. Sap

Human looks?

Is there anything that shows her human looks? I looked everywhere. I even beat the game twice and still can not find it. --Goombob XD (talk) 09:22, 14 May 2013 (EDT)goombob

No, Tippi DOES have a human form, just never shown in the game. Hearty_Laughter_by_KokinhoKokeiro.gifKingfawful4321

Originary from the Mushroom Kingdom?

In the intermission after Chapter 5, Timpani tells Blumiere that her village has a tradition and belief that wishes to the stars are granted. This is exactly how it is in the Mushroom Kingdom according to Paper Mario. Doesn't that highly hint at Timpani living in a village in the Mushroom Kingdom (possibly Toad Town) before she got banished by Blumiere's father? Koopalmier (talk) 20:46, 4 August 2013 (EDT)

It's something, I suppose, but it's not exactly concrete. The idea of wishing on stars is a common staple of many different worlds, real and fictional. Sapientia (talk) 13:16, 21 January 2019 (EST)

Backstory

Question.svg This talk page or section has a conflict or question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

As far as I am aware, the section of the page concerning Tippi's backstory is filled with theories and speculation -- and not even good speculation, as most of it goes against what we're told and shown in the game. I'm here to suggest that we change it up a bit, for the sake of improvement.

The bulk of speculation surrounds this notion that Blumiere's father cursed Timpani to wander through dimensions until she died. I've played the game through three or four times; no character ever states this as a fact, or even suggests it. All we know is that Blumiere's father did something to Timpani, told Blumiere she was no longer in their world, and that sometime later, she appeared in Flipside, gravely injured and with no memory. The "wander through worlds" part is also contradicted by how Tippi is able to recall the moment when Blumiere opened the Dark Prognosticus after Chapter 7 -- if she'd been banished from their world already, how could she have had a memory of that?

At the very least, I believe it would be best if we remove the "wander through dimensions" part of the article, and just say that Blumiere's dad did some unknown thing to Timpani and that she appeared mysteriously in Flipside an unknown amount of time late and by an unknown cause. However, I also have a better theory we could put in that has a base in certain in-game events...

The theory goes that Blumiere's dad "cursed" Timpani by flipping her into 3D, and that's it. We know from the scenario with Red the bridgemaster in Yold Town that characters in 2D are unable to see or communicate with those in 3D. After she got flipped, Timpani sought help from Blumiere, but he didn't know she was there, so she was forced to watch as he turned on his father, stole the Dark Prognosticus, and used it to wipe out his people -- that's how she was able to remember it later, and it was whatever Blumiere did with the book (and her proximity to it) that nearly killed her, erased her memory, and landed her in Flipside.

I know this is all speculative, but it's not any more conjectural than what the article is saying now, and is at least centered around the properties of an ability that's significant to the game itself. If we're going to allow theories in the main segment of the page, we should at least go with ones that make a bit of sense in context. If we don't want to go with theories, we should take out what's written there now and leave it at "Something happened to Timpani that we don't know about."
