Please try not to archive your talk page too often, as this breaks up the page's edit history. It's recommended you archive your talk page when it becomes too large and hard to navigate. Mario JC 21:52, 7 October 2017 (EDT)
Hello
Hello, how are you doing? I hope you're having a nice day. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 16:44, 8 October 2017 (EDT)
Snow Kingdom enemies
Do you have a source for these enemies appearing in the Snow Kingdom? No enemies have been shown there yet as far as I know. Mario JC 23:06, 9 October 2017 (EDT)
- That's one of the ice caves in the Sand Kingdom (hence the Olmec-like boss at the end). Regardless, it's important you cite such information with a source next time. When in doubt, it's better you don't add it so as to not potentially spread false info. Mario JC 23:32, 10 October 2017 (EDT)
- One other thing: please don't do this as soon as someone else created the categories without asking them first, as this counts as edit sniping. I noticed another user Yaronos (talk) had created those about two minutes before, so I'm sure they intended to add them in themselves as they did for the rest. (For future reference, though, when adding a game-specific category like Category:Yoshi's New Island Worlds, any less specific categories that this category would fall under, such as Category:Yoshi's New Island and Category:Worlds, should be removed.) Mario JC 21:10, 11 October 2017 (EDT)
Character infobox
The parameters you're inputting into the infobox are incorrect, which is why they aren't showing. Look at the template here and adjust the parameters. Additionally, you can just copy the source of the template and adjust the parameters on your page to add additional ones. 14:54, 14 October 2017 (EDT)
Proposals
Hello! I noticed that on your recent proposal votes, you did not put a reason along with your vote. Please remember to put a reason along with you vote, as MarioWiki:Proposals states that every vote should have a strong, sensible reason accompanying it. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:45, 15 October 2017 (EDT)
Donkey Kong Jr. Enemies
While I appreciate your help with category work, a few things regarding the (now deleted) Category:Donkey Kong Jr. Enemies category you created:
- Game-specific categories should have at least five pages (in this case, there were four); otherwise they should just go in the overall Category:Donkey Kong Jr. game category.
- New categories shouldn't just go at the bottom. The order of categories is by general type (e.g. robots, electrical creatures etc.), then by game in alphabetical order.
- You still didn't remove the overall Category:Donkey Kong Jr. game category when adding the enemy category (although there's no need to do that now, now that the latter has been deleted).
Please read MarioWiki:Categories for more information. Mario JC 02:26, 16 October 2017 (EDT)
SMS
The existence of Super Mario Strikers and its corresponding template, Template:Super Mario Strikers, prevents "Template:SMS" from being used. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 11:30, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
Userpage
May I ask why you are transcluding the userpage of another user, especially one of someone who hasn't been on the wiki for years? Hello, I'm Time Turner. 15:16, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
- Reverting the edit is fine, but I'm still interested in knowing why. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 15:19, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
Wii-Less Yoshi image
The Wii-Less Yoshi image you are presently using in your sig appears to be an abandoned PI, and your signature is the only thing using it (aside from one instance with Flame-o (talk), but it doesn't appear to be his). Wondering if you'd like to change the image so it can be deleted or "adopt" it for yourself. 16:14, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
- Okay, then for that to happen, the image has to be on your page somewhere or permanently a part of your signature. 16:29, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
Sorry, but the image on your sig has to be scaled to 35px or less.
Mario JC 08:03, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
- Additionally, the "{" on your page should be replaced with "[", as your page is showing in Category:Personal images in use. 20:18, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
Okay, so, a few things.
- Please use your actual sig. You are free to change your sig to the ":D" you are currently using.
- If you don't change it, you still need to resize the image.
- If you're not actually using the image on your user page, I'll mark it as a personal sig image, unless you remove it from your signature, in which case I'll mark it for deletion.
Moonsnake
Hi, would you mind checking Special:WhatLinksHere/Spike Bar so that you can begin link-piping all of the listed pages with the link? Thanks! (T|C) 20:23, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
Why did you move the article? They look nothing like the Spike Bars and are listed as a species in the Prima guide. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 20:27, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
they look similar. sorry. i'm not a prima guy i am the best and i am like a german toad so i am awesome XD (talk) 20:28, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
- Beyond having spikes, they really don't look similar to me. The behaviour of Moonsnakes also seem to be markedly different from Spike Bars. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 20:30, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
what's the difference? sorry, I don't own odyssey. i am the best and i am like a german toad so i am awesome XD (talk) 20:31, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
- Wait, if you don't own Odyssey, why are you moving pages? Hello, I'm Time Turner. 20:32, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
it's just their new name. I may not own odyssey, but their new name is moonsnake and that's FINAL i am the best and i am like a german toad so i am awesome XD (talk) 20:34, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
- It really doesn't work that way. You can't just say that as if it must be taken as gospel, especially when you don't have any evidence beyond the fact that they look kind of similar. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 20:35, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
ok, I admit that moonsnakes look different from spike bars, go on undo my edit. i am the best and i am like a german toad so i am awesome XD (talk) 20:36, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
Also, your signature is too long again. You're not using your usual sig page, but that doesn't mean you're free to have long text. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 20:45, 3 November 2017 (EDT) k sorry. I upd8d again :D (talk) 20:47, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
Astro-lanceur
May I ask why you moved Astro-lanceur to Astro-Lanceur? Hello, I'm Time Turner. 11:36, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
lowercase has no citations. uppercase does. :D (talk) 11:37, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
- You're supposed to wait to see if a citation comes forward. That's the entire point of the ref needed template. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 11:40, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
oh. :D (talk) 11:41, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
- In the future, please be more cautious. You should only ever move pages when you are 100% confident that no issues may arise. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 11:42, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
By the way, sorry to interrupt, but I don't think you can just change your name like that. You have to wait for a certain period of time, and there are other conditions which you may have violated. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 17:16, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
the 'crats never said that. :D (talk) 17:18, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
It's at the top of the page, and that states the rules. The bureaucrats will almost always go by those rules, and they don't usually make exceptions. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 17:24, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
Well...never mind, I guess. Are you just going to change your names like candy all the time? You better know what name you are going to stick with, because it will be easier for everyone that way, because they won't get confused. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 17:26, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
File:Unagi.png
Not sure if I should give you a warning or not, but I'm pretty sure we have a rule about moving images with titles that are already accurate. As it stands, it was called Unagi in the relevant game, and more importantly, you didn't fix any of the links to it, leaving a bunch of blank names where images should be. It shall be moved back. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 23:27, 4 November 2017 (EDT)
Reminder
Please stop not following MarioWiki:Categories on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
You've already been reminded twice about this. Not only did you put Category:Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix Enemies in the wrong order for a majority of them, but you also didn't remove the now-redundant Category:Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix. Mario JC 05:40, 5 November 2017 (EST)
RE:ummm
I don't know how you came to that conclusion. IP addresses don't match, nor do you have access to viewing them. Leave the admining to the admins, if there's an issue, we'll know. 16:39, 8 November 2017 (EST)
you aren't themorningflash, but ok. Big Bandit
- I made the subject header "RE:ummm" to refer to the post on their page. 16:42, 8 November 2017 (EST)
Image reversions
I noticed you've been reverting images to lower quality versions, with File:BandyAndy.PNG, File:Viper26.png (a personal image), and File:SlipiceSprite.png. Please do not do this unless there is a real reason to do so or it has been discussed. 20:53, 9 November 2017 (EST)
Tornado
Hello! A few things about your Tornado (obstacle) article: First, you should probably have asked LUIGIRULES71 (talk) if you could make the article, as it appears he originally planned on making it, and participating in another user's editing project without asking them first in a violation of the courtesy policy (the creation of the article should also probably have been discussed first). Also, please read MarioWiki:Good writing and MarioWiki:Manual of Style before creating more articles. Game titles should be italicized by placing two apostrophes on either side, and you should avoid using the word "you", and instead use "the player" or the character's name. Please also remember to check to make sure you check your grammar and capitalization, along with adding as much information as possible. Thanks!--TheFlameChomp (talk) 09:48, 11 November 2017 (EST)
um...... ok.
