Vince Joly is a 3D artist and animator employed by Retro Studios. First working in the video game industry as an artist for Radical Entertainment, he then joined Namco's U.S development studio, Namco Hometek, as the animator of Pac-Man World, the player character animator of kill.switch, and the art director of Pac-Man World 2. Vince Joly was hired by Retro Studios in 2005 and worked as the lead animator of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and the art director of the Donkey Kong Country Returns series.

For Mario Kart 7, his role was to supervise the artwork produced on the Retro Studios side[1].
