Descriptions

Does anyone think the descriptions of the Trophies should be listed here? There was a fiery debate on this in the discussion on Assist Trophies, but we got too off-topic. Dodo

I asked this same question once. The answer I got was that the Trophy page would be too messy if the Trophy Bios is added. I agree, it would look really messy. So, I think it is out of the question. My Bloody Valentine

I don't see how it would be messy... we'd just post the short description under the name, info, etc.

This is something you should bring to Talk:Main Page. My Bloody Valentine

You can create a separate page for it, like what we did for Sammer Guys and List of Sammer Guys.Knife (talk) 22:19, 20 July 2007 (EDT)

Sounds like a fair idea. I'll try it. -Dodoman

OK, that sounds good. My Bloody Valentine

Super Mario Strikers Trophies

Should the information about the Super Mario Strikers trophies be on this page, or on the Super Mario Strikers page, or on both pages? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:22, 27 August 2007 (EDT)

Kirby Trophies

Hey, guys, I have reason to believe the Trophies in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl are a referance to the Trophies from Kirby: Super Star. Should I add the information to the article? My Bloody Valentine

Well, they aren't trophies. They are "Deluxe Ability Pedestals". -- Son of Suns

Sheriff

Why does Sheriff redirect to the article? Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC

Someone really should fix that --Doopliss _Rocks

Read the top of the article and everything will be clear.--Knife (talk) 15:31, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Split the Trophy section from Super Smash Bros. into a new article named Template:Fakelink

A Yellow Block from Super Mario World This talk page section contains an unresolved talk page proposal. Please try to help and resolve the issue by voting or leaving a comment.

I find it totally weird that two entirely different concepts to be together in the same article. The trophies in sports games are rewards and trophies in the game Super Smash Bros. are figurines for the game to collect. I propose a split to remove the section of the Trophy of the Super Smash Bros series from this article and put it in a brand new page called Trophy (Super Smash Bros.). From what it look right now, Its like having the sticker concept from Sticker Star being merge with the Super Smash Bros. Brawl sticker concept.

Support

  1. LudwigVon (talk) Per my proposal and Baby Luigi's comment here.
  2. Baby Luigi (talk) Per. I was the one who noticed and notified it, hence one of the reasons I'm supporting, but I'm totally fine with LudwigVon calling action. These two are completely unrelated subjects that have no business being merged.

Wouldn't this just open the gates to splitting the likes of minigame, point, World, Time Limit, Bubble, Barrel, and more by game too, though? Mario (Santa)'s map icon from Mario Kart Tour Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 16:52, 1 December 2015 (EST)

A slippery slope, this is not. There are extreme and very evident differences between the two trophies, and lumping them into the same article just for having the same name is like having Shadow the Dog share an article with Shadow the Hedgehog. This isn't going to cause the wiki to be flooded with half-articles, it's going to recognize a clear distinction. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
What are the differences, though? I know those trophies are collectibles, but they're also used as rewards too? Isn't the entire point of trophies in general to collect them? Mario (Santa)'s map icon from Mario Kart Tour Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 17:23, 1 December 2015 (EST)
