The Super Boots are the first upgrade to the Boots. They are found in Boo's Mansion in Paper Mario and inside The Great Tree in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They increase the power of Mario's Jump attack and allow him to do the trademark Spin Jump. Outside of battle, they allow Mario to break boxes and wooden trap doors and use a more powerful First Strike. In Paper Mario, the Super Boots add to Mario's power and allow him to perform Spin Jumps. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, he is granted an extra attack named Spin Jump, which does more damage than a regular jump. Once Mario finds the Ultra Boots, he loses the Super Boots.

The Super Boots also return in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, though it is now singular and in sticker form. The Super Boot is a defensive sticker which lets Mario jump over attacks and boosts attack power of all consecutive Jump stickers while eliminating the danger of spikes. They use Paper Mario's color scheme. There is also a Shiny variation which has the same effect but boosts attack power more. Status effects for Mario will prevent him from using this item.

Trivia

  • In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the message when Mario gets the Super Boots is grammatically incorrect, as it says "You got a Super Boots". The same thing occurs upon receiving the Ultra Boots.
  • In Paper Mario, the boots are bright green with yellow soles, while in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, they are blue with orange soles.
