Rappy
Rappy is an enemy from the game Donkey Kong on the Game Boy. Rappies appear in Stage 1-2 in the Big-City for the first time, which is after stage 0. There, Rappies are found on floating platforms in the air. They circle completely around the platforms, even walking on the bottom side. In other stages, they also walk around the entire border of the level, even over spikes. They cannot hurt Mario, but they can push him off the platform if he is in their way. They can also be stood on, but not picked up.
Although they might be mouse enemies, Rappies are actually bigger than mice and thus they resemble rats. The origin of the name "Rappy" may be interpreted in two ways: it is either derived from the fact that the word "rat" sounds closely to "rap", or inspired from a character pertaining to the TV show Tom & Jerry Kids, called Rap Rat - a gangster rat who constantly sings in a rap cadence. Likewise, the name could be inspired from Rap Rat, a board game developed by A Couple 'A Cowboys which involves an odd and rankling antropomorphic rodent bursting out of a cheese hole and explaining the instructions useful for the game.
