Spare text?
Recently I found out that the world templates usually follow with a invisible word. Take World 1-Castle for an example. If you highlight it, you can see the word 'Castle'.
- Can someone tell me why there is a spare word in there? Akfamilyhome 07:54, 12 November 2011 (EST)
- It needs to stay so people will know its a castle and not mistake it for something else, so don't remove it.bowser45
- But no one can see the text without highlighting it (assuming they know the word exists), and the word is too small to read anyway (I copied and pasted to find out what the word is). Still, the word(s) creates a gap between the picture and the next word (The Bowser's Castle one, for example - see Bonecoaster to see what I mean). Mario JC
- Just figured it out: The reason why the small white text is there is because when using the template for section headings in World articles, the name needs to be there, otherwise the heading will read: "World 1-(nothing)" in the contents, section edit summaries, etc. Even so, it creates a wide space... Mario JC
Calm down, everyone. As bowser45 said, when one highlights the picture, the word appears so that no one is in doubt as to what kind of world that is. I really don't understand the "extra space" problem, nor the "small text". Can someone explain those better? --Mario Fan 123 - Mario's craazy fan! 19:35, 28 September 2012 (EDT)
Enemy Course
I'm trying to add "Enemy course" to the template...but I can't do it! Can someone help? — Oh, Big Koopa (Talk it!) Uhhh...Yeah. 20:33, 15 February 2012 (EST)
Mystery Boxes
To try and add more information about Mystery Boxes to the wiki, I had a friend of mine create this and would be very grateful if someone could upload it as well as grant me permission to add it (and the necessary trappings) to this template. Thanks in advance.--MisterE13 04:30, 25 September 2012 (EDT)
- Go ahead. Just make it the same size as the other images and it should be good. --Mario Fan 123 - Mario's craazy fan! 19:36, 28 September 2012 (EDT)
New templates
I think we need a Crown template for the last level of Super Mario 3D Land, Special 8-Crown.Another thing I noticed : the template for the levels of the Flower World doesn't work.

- Maybe even another template for the last two levels of New Super Mario Bros. U : here, here, and here.
Banon (talk · edits) 16:38, 25 December 2012 (EST)- And another Blooper template ? ( Blooper's Secret Lair )
Banon (talk · edits)- Wait, there's also the ice template ? ( Piranha Plants on Ice ). What do you think, should we create templates, or let it how it is ?

Super Mario 3D World template icons
This talk page or section has a conflict or question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment. |
I honestly think they should be changed or replaced with text, since the icons they are used are not even from Super Mario 3D World, but rather, mostly from Mario Sports Mix and other games. It's unprofessional that way, and until we can manage to rip sprites from the Wii U, it should be left as text until we do so. Ray Trace(T|C) 21:39, 10 December 2013 (EST)
- I agree. If nothing is done, I will change the icons. Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 21:41, 10 December 2013 (EST)
- Agentdave7 can do it.
- Are you talking about Template:World? I've made these and thought they should be added to that page. I have had no success in trying to add them. Here they are:
- (The rest are temp. designs on what they would look like if they were actual Templates)
- I've added these to there respective Super Mario 3D World links (as you'll see by looking at the image's File Usuage). I have seen that some of the images have been used in Super Mario 3D Land as well, I didn't know they were going to be so popular. I still need to finish the Captain Toad one. I could make a few more if they are needed, and potentially from other games, if I own them. Agentdave7 (talk) 01:24, 11 December 2013 (EST)
