Boomer.
Boomer is the third of many different Pixl creatures that Mario, Peach, Bowser, and Luigi discover in the Wii video game Super Paper Mario. His special ability is to turn into a bomb that, obviously, blows up. This will open up areas that were once closed off. The 1 Button on the Wii Remote used to set, and then detonate the bomb. Boomer will also blow up and his own eventually. Boomer is also able to defeat enemies from a distance. His name, along with Slim's, was announced at GDC 2007.
Trivia
- Boomer shares his name with a boss from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
- Being an eyed bomb-like creature, Boomer bears a great resemblance to the Bob-omb.
- Boomer has the same ability as Bombette from Paper Mario, and Bobbery from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
- He got his name from the word "boom", onomatopoeia for an explosion.
