Fracktail is a boss in the game Super Paper Mario, found in a desert. He has spiral eyes and red skin, and he can burrow into the sand and go underground. He will surprise Mario and shoot out of the ground, and then fly in the air. Fracktail slightly resembles a Chinese dragon.
In order to defeat Fracktail, Mario must jump on top of his long back while the robot flies into the air, then pick up a Frackle crawling around on his back and throw the enemies at the serpent's red orb on his antenna. He will then explode into bones.
Fracktail was originally the robotic protector of the Pure Heart, but Count Bleck's minion Dimentio short-circuited him and he attacked Mario. Upon being defeated, he returns to normal upon his final moments, pleading Mario to save the world.
A similar boss featured in the Pit of 100 Trials, Wracktail, looks very similar to Fracktail, despite being a skeleton of him. He is also much more powerful. Both are references to Hooktail, Gloomtail, and Bonetail from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
