• Super Mario 3D Land (pictured) is the first 3D Mario platformer game where Mario or Luigi cannot perform a Triple Jump.
• In Super Mario Galaxy 2, while using Rock Mario in the Freezy Flake Galaxy, rock form will become covered with snow as he rolls.
• The UK version of the Super Mario 64 DS's manual mistakenly reads, "Thank you for selecting Super Mario DS" instead of the full name.
• At the introduction of the Japanese version in Super Mario Sunshine, Mario can be heard saying "Looks like a giant-", the rest is inaudible. After Peach notices the presence of Shadow Mario, Mario says "Looks like Mario is going to have to find a new job", and Toadsworth replies "Are you starting a new career?". These dialogues were removed from the American introduction.
• The Gateway Galaxy in "Super Mario Galaxy" is the only galaxy in which flipswitches must be turned off instead if on.
