Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Japanese name: スーパーマリオRPG, Super Mario RPG) is a role playing video game designed by Squaresoft (currently Square Enix) and released for the Super Nintendo in 1996. It introduced Mario to the RPG franchise, and worked out fairly well with an action-command battle system.
Story
Princess Toadstool/Princess Peach is wandering outside Mario's house, but is suddenly kidnapped by King Bowser using the Koopa Clown Car. Once Mario sees Princess Toadstool in peril, he chases after her to end up at a castle. A giant sword named Exor lay impaled into the castle, and broke the bridge into the castle, where Mario stood helplessly inside. After going through the castle, Mario finally catches up with Bowser. After battling on chandeliers, Mario fails to help Princess Peach and is sent flying back to his house. Now Mario travels through different worlds to collect 7 magical stars, where he will work with such characters as Mallow, Geno, Princess Toadstool, and even Bowser and defeat the evil Smithy and his minions.
