Good job with minigames. Keep it up. 3dhammer.gif 3D, trying to keep himself up.. 3dhammer.gif Ryan repiles: Thanks, I actually had a lot of free time at my hands... BTW: How do I send messages to you/members?

For me, click my comment in my sig. Usually, users have a link to their talk page in their sig. Or you can go to their page, then click "Dicussion" at the top of the page. 3dhammer.gif 3D, CLICK HERE and talk to me! :) 3dhammer.gif

Use of "You"

Please don't use the second-person (i.e. "you" or "your") when writing articles. Instead, use a character's name, or the word "player" (the player grabs the coin, etc., instead of you grab the coins). -- Son of Suns

Oh! And make sure you add "Category: Mini-games" at the bottom of you mini-game articles. -- Son of Suns

Ryan Repiles: How do I do that, I'm pretty much new here for the first day...

Simple write the word "Category" follow it with a ":" and write the category you want to put the article in, in this case "Mini-games" (like I wrote it in the previous comment). Check out the edit screen for any other article to see how categories are listed at the bottom. -- Son of Suns

Ryan Repiles: Hey! What happened on Mario Party 1's Minigames? I was working on that...

It seems each mini-game will have its own article and have a link on the big mini-games list page. -- Son of Suns

Hello

I was the one who created that page and recommend that when writing about mini-games, you mention every aspect of it.

  • Characters/species that appeared
  • Description of area
  • Whether it is 4-player, 1 vs. 3, etc.
  • How to play the mini-game (never use "You")

Oh and I also made a sig for you: RAP.pngRAP... Check this out! To use it add this before each of your replies:

Thank you and good luck!Knife (talk)

Reply: Screenshots

Screenshots you take can be uploaded, as long as they are high quality. We have a few low-quality screenshots that are real eyesores. Don't go overboard though. One quality image per mini-game page that demonstrates the game well. -- Son of Suns RAP.pngRAP... Can you tell me a few examples of some low-quality screenshots?

Something like this, it is very low quality:

-- Son of Suns

One last question, what is the limit of when you upload a file like a pic?

"Images should be optimized for the web and its size should not exceed 100 kilobytes. Images' dimensions should be approximately the same size as on the official site and never exceed 600 pixels in width." -- Son of Suns

That first image of yours is very high quality. Good work. However, the first image in the page should be alligned to the right. Also, don't put "funny" captions in the image caption. Captions should be informative, not ridiculous. -- Son of Suns

RAP.pngRAP... I have a question SoS, I saw one of the big pics the other day (like in the Lemmy Koopa article, the comic page down the plage), that pic took over 100kb and over the size limit. Can I upload a pic file that big but display it the article in thumb size? Because I'm goning to upload a Map of Mario's Rainbow Castle in Mario Party.

That should be fine. Also, you may want to contact me on my talk page, instead of using yours. That way, I will respond quicker. -- Son of Suns

Minigames!!!

WOW! Ryan, you are AMAZING. Sweet! Keep it up! 3dhammer.gif 3D, who wishes HE could do that! 3dhammer.gif

And your screenshota are INCREDIBLE! HOW DO YOU DO THAT?! 3dhammer.gif 3D, in awe. Totally. 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... Ok, I'll let you get in a little secret; I used a N64 emulator and took some pics. :)

O_o Wow! Still, impressive. 3dhammer.gif 3D, heh heh heh. 3dhammer.gif

Toad in the Box

Is the official name of the mini-game TOAD in the Box or Toad in the Box, as we have two of the same article? -- Son of Suns\

Ryan Repiles: In the offical Mario Party 2 game, the mini-game's name is TOAD in the Box.

Okay. I will megre the two articles to that name. -- Son of Suns

Mini-game Articles

I, for one, would just like to extend my hand in thanks for your contributions to the mini-games. I used to, but I got a little overwhelmed. Thanks for sticking to such a big project. Great work, man, keep it up. Phoenix Rider

RAP.pngRAP... Thanks, but I only have Mario Party 1 to 3 at my house but maybe I can read some FAQs from somewhere that someone made and covert into my own words.

By the way, where can I find that emulator? How does it work? 3dhammer.gif 3D, who needs one of those. 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... There is a eumlator that I liked the best and it's called Project64, the best eumlator around; however the beta version is downloadedable to only donaters, here's the website: [1], have fun!!

I GOTTA DONATE?! Oh, well. I have a NES/SNES emulator... I should be happy! I can play SMRPG! 3dhammer.gif 3D, who needs a credit card. 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... Actually, the lastest version (1.6) is free to many users...

OK! So you gotta have an account? 3dhammer.gif 3D, who wants to play Yoshi's Story SO BAD! 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... What do you mean, I got the emulator for free.

You've done very well at creating these articles. I'm using a leftover image of a failed awards project as a token of my appreciation. It's not an award, though. :P Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 20:17, 2 February 2007 (EST)

Comment

Just something that's been bothering me. You keep putting "founded in Mario Party #" in your articles. The word sounds funny used in that context. Maybe "found in Mario Party #" or maybe just "in Mario Party #". Phoenix Rider 20:43, 31 January 2007 (EST)

Please proofread your articles before submitting them. Try and make the article sound as professional as possible. Check spelling, s/v agreement, tenses, all your basic English rules. I apologize if you feel as if I'm coming down on you; I'm not, but please proofread. Phoenix Rider 20:20, 2 February 2007 (EST)

Project64

How do you get the ROMS? 3dhammer.gif 3D, installed the software.. 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... Go to Rom Hustler (hope I got it right) and there are any roms provided even N64 roms like Super Mario 64 (Adpatoid and N64 contoller required), Paper Mario and the Mario party series!!

if you could, can yo walk me through how to save the ROMS and open it. Its not working. What other stuff need to be downloaded for this? -- WarioLoaf (talk) 20:14, 3 February 2007 (EST)

Done!!

RAP.pngRAP... It's offical!! The Mario Party 2 mini-games is finally finshed; take a look as some of the acticles that I made are getting professional as they go.

WAHOO! GREAT! 3dhammer.gif 3D, yay! 3dhammer.gif

ROMs

Will you please tell me what I need to play the ROMs? 3dhammer.gif 3D, TRYING to play them.. 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... Setup the corntols first, if you did. There are some games like Super Mario 64 that needs a Adpatoid, the program of this decive and N64 contoller to plug in the computer, this is optional. Are are other stuff to learn how to use it. F5 for save (although not recommended, the program saves a file like in the console and can reload in the game), F7 to load, F1 to Restart the game, F2 to Pause the game, F3 to take a screenshot (Thats where I take screenshots, to find the screenshots go to Project 64 1.6/Screenshots and you'll find them), for more information; go to Help in that program.

Do you need any extra software, like DirectX? 3dhammer.gif 3D, in the dark. 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... Yes, but it is only DirectX I think, you need either Ver. 7 or 8 but you get the lastest version if wanted...

What version of computer do you have? I'm trying to run it on a 2000, but I have an XP. 3dhammer.gif 3D, @#$% thing won't work! 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... Yep, XP is problemly better, I use it. Well, I'll be going, see ya...

Early Years

Sweet! 3dhammer.gif 3D, back. 3dhammer.gif

MP-E

Thanks SO much for finally making an article for it. I used to have the E-Reader, but sold it. Phht. But it's looking great. 3dhammer.gif 3D, THREE WEEKS OFF SCHOOL! PARTAY! 3dhammer.gif

RAP.pngRAP... My pleasure, actually I going to add the rest of the stuff in the article like.... now!

My Comic

Seeing that you rsort of new here, I decided to add you to my comic. Please respond on my talk page on what character you want to be. Please respond ASAP.--Aipom_Banana_2.gif Aipom 424.png--

Ryan repiles: Hmm.. how about Lemmy Koopa...

Licensing

Please keep in mind that official sprites and characters shown in the context of a game are game screenshots, not character artwork. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 11:56, 18 February 2007 (EST)

Well something like these:

are considered official artwork. Basicaly anything that cannot be found in the game itself.Knife (talk) 13:38, 18 February 2007 (EST)

Categorizing Images

Check this out. If you want to look for images that need categories, look there. Oh, and thanks for finding those much needed pics of Mario Party. Thanks to you, we are the only wiki with all screenshots of Mario Party games. Can you find more for the other MPs as well? Also see this for quicker uploading.Knife (talk) 15:41, 18 February 2007 (EST)

Oh, and also if the page isn't being used in any article, put {{Delete|Unused pic. Sorry uploader}} there.Knife (talk) 15:46, 18 February 2007 (EST)
