Slime (Dragon Quest)

Slime is a species, as well as a character from the Dragon Quest series of games. Slime made a crossover appearance with Mario in Itadaki Street DS. The Slime is the mascot for the Dragon Quest series, as well as an fairly common enemy in the games, much like the Goombas.

In Itadaki Street DS, Slime appears as a playable character. The "Slime Mask", "Slime Suit" and "Slime Maracas" are collectible items that can be equipped on customizable characters. The Heal Slime, a sub-species to the Slimes also appearing in the Dragon Quest series, also appear in the game.

Slime is set to reappear in Mario Sports Mix for the Nintendo Wii as a playable character. It is classified as a Tricky-type character, and is the only character not from the Mario or Final Fantasy games (not counting the customizable Mii).
