Lubba

Lubba is a particularly large and sometimes wisecracking Luma who appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2. He is the head honcho of the Lumas in the game. He created Starship Mario and is its Captain before he hands it over to Mario. His ship was destroyed by a few meteors launched by Bowser, which caused all the Lumas on the ship to disperse throughout the galaxy and become separated from one another. Lubba aids and accompanies Mario in his quest to defeat Bowser, making a deal with him that, in return for Mario recovering the Power Stars, he'll help Mario rescue Princess Peach. [1] As the captain of the mobile hub of the game and the leader of the Lumas, he more or less replaces Rosalina in this respect.
In the ending, it is revealed that Lubba has met Rosalina before. However, where he first met her is unknown.

- In the opening, when Mario first lands on Starship Mario (which, at the time, was simply a planet struck with meteors that Lubba managed to turn into the starship with the first Power Star), Lubba asks him a pair of questions at one point (the first is the quote). The two answers are "That's right" and "Yes".
