Melon Kingdom

The Melon Kingdom is the 11th kingdom linked to the J Barrel which appears in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. The kingdom is located in a cavern of ice and a haunted swamp. The Melon Kingdom can be accessed by completing all the kingdoms linked to the K Barrel and collecting 16 or more Crests. The Melon Kingdom is the dominion of Bloat-Hog in the Gamecube version or Torch Tusk in the New Play Control! version. Donkey Kong traveled through this kingdom and at the end of every level he ate a giant Melon.

Levels

Iguanagon's Realm

Iguanagon's Realm is the first area of the Melon Kingdom. The level takes place mostly in a icy cavern. Donkey Kong completed the entire level riding on Hoofer's back. If Hoofer came in contact with anything, his speed would drop. Some areas require a high speed to be jumped to. Rocs tried to stop Donkey Kong by dropping objects on him. Donkey Kong had to throw pineapples at the to defeat them. In the middle of the level Donkey Kong encountered Iguanagon for a second time. Iguanagon could be defeated by throwing pineapples at it. If Iguanagon was defeated, Donkey Kong would be awarded 100 beats. Donkey Kong did not have to eat the giant Melon to complete the stage and only had to touch it.
