Black hole
A Black Hole is a very dangerous obstacle found in Super Mario Galaxy which can suck Mario (or Luigi) into it if they are unlucky enough to fall off of some ledges or miss the target with something like a Sling Pod. If either one of the plumbers is sucked into the black hole, he will lose one life which can only be regained with a 1-Up. Black Holes are impossible to avoid once the player has fallen off of the platform and into outer space and will suck the player up extremely quickly. Black Holes are the most deadly objects in the whole game.
In the galaxy Bowser's Galaxy Reactor (In the level The Fate of the Universe), after Bowser is defeated, his Sun will blow up and transform into a black hole which will suck in Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser's fleet, Princess Peach's Castle and the Comet Observatory. Everything is going to be destroyed when suddenly Luma flies in front of Mario, waves and sacrifices itself into the black hole. After that, thousands of other Lumas fling themselves to their doom in the black hole in hopes of rescuing the universe and they stop the black hole. Mario is saved at the end by Rosalina who transports him back to the Mushroom Kingdom. At the end Mario gets up and sees the black hole has formed a single new Galaxy and yells to the sky; Welcome, welcome new galaxy!.
