Nintendo Comics System

The Nintendo Comics System series, published by Valiant, made comic books of many Nintendo characters, including Mario! He usually turned up paired with other characters, like Captain N or Link. They were quite funny, and featured special little pages like "Ask Princess Toadstool" and fake advertisments, like one for "Koopa Cola" (the only soda made with real coal!
