The Fire Snake is a nearly impervious enemy found in the Desert Land of Super Mario Bros. 3. It can only be killed with Star Power or by Shells. They hop around in very inconvenient places, blocking access to items or platforms. Fire Snakes make a return in World 2 of New Super Mario Bros.
