Gulpit

Gulpits are large, fat, purple, green-footed, three-toed beasts with rather long pink tongues. They only appear in the game Paper Mario. They are found in the icy Shiver region. They attack by picking up stones in their mouths, and spitting them back out at the offender, causing their opponents damage. They can also attack by licking their enemy with their tongue. Mario encounters Gulpits on Shiver Mountain and in Shiver Snowfield during the events of the game.
Gulpits never appeared in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, but were given one reference: when Grubba catches Mario examining confidential works of his, he sputters the surprised phrase "Great galloping Gulpits!" Based on what was seen of them in Paper Mario, it is unclear what Francis means by "galloping."
Their names are word play off "gulp" and "it".

- Tattle: This is a Gulpit. Max HP: 12, Attack Power: 2, Defense Power: 0. Whoa! Gulpits look pretty burly, don't they? Gulpits attack by picking rocks up in their mouths and then spitting 'em back out. The bigger the rock they spit, the more damage you'll take. Big rocks take 7 HP in damage, and small ones take 5 HP. They can't do much damage without ammo, so you should concentrate on the rocks first.
- Gulpit Rock Tattle: These are Gulpits' Rocks. Gulpits gulp them and then spit 'em at people. There are two sizes of rocks. The big rocks do more damage than the small rocks do. ...Big surprise, huh?
