Nintendo Power issue 10 is the tenth volume of Nintendo Power, released in January/February, 1990. It covers Super Mario Bros. 3 and Golf.

Player's Pulse section on page 6 contains a question from Jim Jackman, asking if Mario had his nose "fixed" "like many other successful superstars". He points out that Mario's nose used to be "sharp and droopy" in Donkey Kong, but in Super Mario Bros. 2 it became "more rounded and somewhat elevated". The response from Nintendo Power says "as far as we know, Jim, Mario has not undergone cosmetic surgery". Scott Tripp asks why Super Mario Bros. 3 and the Japanese Super Famicom didn't make an appearance in Nintendo Power. The response says that they "focus on games that are out now or soon will be available for the American NES", and that readers can expect to see more of Super Mario Bros. 3 as it nears its release. Jeff Gilkey claims to have "solved" Super Mario Bros. 2 with 72 lives left.

NES Journal section says that winners of the contest got to try out Super Mario Bros. 3 on pages 88 to 89. They also visited an awards ceremony at Cafe Mario.

Page 91 states that Stephen Furst "excels at Super Mario Bros.", and that he "was discovered for Animal House while delivering pizzas" that "even Mario would be proud of".

How to Win at Super Mario Bros. (misspelled as How to Win At Super Mario Bros.) is advertised on 96th page.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is described in the Next Issue section on page 97.

“Super Mario Bros. 3 is a huge game; it has about sixteen times the memory of the original Super Mario Bros! So, it's only natural that it contains many more secrets items[sic] and places to find. In this giant review we'll reveal some of these concealed mysteries.”
