Furafurawā are enemies in the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong. They first appear in the Desert in Stage 5-2. Furafurawā hide in the ground. If Mario approaches them, they pop out of the ground and move left and right slowly until he walks way. As soon as Mario is out of reach, Furafurawā will hide again. Touching a Furafurawā ultimately defeats Mario. They can be defeated with the Hammer, but will respawn from the ground instantly. In Rocky-Valley, Furafurawā have an entirely different behavior of slowly walking from the left to right and sometimes shooting out four small seeds, similarly to a Volcano Lotus. Like with Furafurawā themselves, Mario can take out the seeds with a Hammer. The Furafurawā of Rocky-Valley do not return if defeated, and they also have different sprites, including whiter, rounder petals and leafier stems.
