Talk:Coin Bag (Super Princess Peach)
Are these bags? They seem more like capsules to me. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 23:35, August 29, 2022 (EDT)
- Are you telling me this isn't a generic Party Ball? IE the Japanese piñata equivalent? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:29, August 30, 2022 (EDT)
Coin bag???
it really doesnt look like a bag and its name is already officially in use by something else so i think it should be moved to something else like coin ball

The Coin Bag is based on a party ball more than an actual bag. I was humbly wondering if there's a possibility to merge "Coin Bag" with "Party Ball".

Support
- GuntherBB (talk) Per proposal
- Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) - Generic subject. Both are ordinary waritama.
- Blinker (talk) Per all.
- Waluigi Time (talk) Circumstances might be different if this actually had a name, but as is, per all.
- Camwoodstock (talk) We were on the fence, but the "Coin Bag" name being entirely conjectural kinda sealed the deal. This is pretty clearly meant to be a Party Ball, so if nothing else, we should probably rename it to that--or at least merge it with the actual Party Ball article, if that other proposal doesn't pass.
- Mario (talk) The conjecture seems misleading. From how it's shaped and how it's opened, this item isn't a bag, it's a kind of 🎊party ball🎊. I'd also vote for a "Party Ball (Super Princess Peach)" if we can't agree to merge to Party Ball. The item is probably a confetti ball, a party ball, a waritama (a kind of kusudama).
Oppose
- Swallow (talk) These appear to be two completely different objects with different functions from two seperate series.
- Hewer (talk) Per Swallow, and also per several of the arguments from this proposal. Smash calls its Party Balls original to Smash and doesn't acknowledge any appearance in Super Princess Peach, and I don't buy the "generic item" excuse seeing as that didn't stop them from considering Soccer Ball to be from both NES Soccer and Mario Strikers. And we don't cover food on a page about every food item from the franchise, do we? Or fan on a page about any unrelated instance of a paper fan? It would be a strange choice for organisation when the items are completely unrelated beyond sharing a basis.
Comments
@Hewer Except Smash's Party Balls predate Super Princess Peach and Yoshi's Crafted World (which is what the Party Ball page covers). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:50, February 16, 2024 (EST)
