The Dusty Dune Galaxy is a galaxy in the Wii game, Super Mario Galaxy. It has many enemies, including various Pokeys, Tweesters, Bomb Chickens, and Dry Bones, as well as many floating sand structures. It can be compared to Shifting Sand Land from Super Mario 64.
Levels
Soaring on the Desert Winds
Here the player must jump from platform to platform, and use the tornadoes to progress. They then go inside a shaft in which they need to jump over sand, wheels and blocks to get out. Once outside again they need to use the tornadoes and wall jump to get up the next structure. Once at the top they need to break the crystal to get the Power Star.
Blasting Through the Sand
Sunbaked Sand Castle
Sandblast Speed Run
In this level, the player must complete Blasting through the sand mission in 4:30. There are no tornadoes or enemies, so all the player has to do is avoid the sand.
Purple Coins in the Desert
100 coins are on the instant death sand disc. Some are in the air so the player has to use the tornadoes. The player is not timed on this mission.
Bullet Bill On Your Back
The player has to do the "Sunbaked Sand Castle" level as normal, until the player gets to the sand tide planet. Mario will have to find a log and ground pound it, causing a trail of music notes to appear. Mario needs to collect all the music to make appear, which will take Mario to a planet with a Bill Blaster and two switches. Mario will need to ground pound the blue switch and, at the same time, lure a Bullet Bill into any one of the cages that have risen out of the sand. The cages contain the Power Star, a Rainbow Star, and some Star Bits. Also on the planet, there are many Dry Bones, which the player and the Bullet Bill will have to dodge to get to the star.
Treasure of the Pyramid
This Hidden Star is in Blasting Through the Sand. Go through the level until you reach the platform near the Boulders, then feed a Hungry Luma 20 Star Bits to create a Launch Star. Once you are in the planet collect 5 Silver Stars to get the Green Power Star.
Trivia
