"Destiny chooses our paths..."
-Madame Clairvoya, Luigi's Mansion

Madame Clairvoya (also known as The Freaky Fortune Teller) is a fortune telling spirit and of one the portrait ghosts in Luigi's Mansion.

Clairvoya has the ability to read fortunes by examining personal belongings. Also, she also owns a crystal ball to help her see events to come. However, according to Professor E. Gadd's Game Boy Horror, the ball lets Clairvoya see only forty-nine days into the future.

During Luigi's search for his brother Mario, the green-clad plumber discovers five objects that Mario lost in the mansion: his hat, his glove, his shoes, his letter, and his star. Luigi brings these items to Madame Clairvoya. Through examination of the objects, Clairvoya predicts the arrival of the evil Bowser. After this final prediction, Clairvoya loses her powers of precognition.

For some reason, Madame Clairvoya does not want to be around when Bowser arrives, and begs Luigi to returns her to her portrait frame. All Luigi has to do is turn on the Poltergust 3000 and suck her up. Madame Clairvoya is the easiest portrait ghost to capture in the whole game; she doesn't even put up a fight, making it easy to get larger pearls.

Madame Clairvoya's name is a pun on the word "clairvoyance", referring to extra-sensory perception (ESP), including the ability to see into the future.
