- —Funky Kong, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Bright Savannah is the third world of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port of the same name. The world is opened after defeating Skowl, the boss of Autumn Heights. Ba-Boom serves as the boss of this world.
The majority of the levels in this world are based on the landscapes of Africa. The flora and the fauna also resemble their African variants, such as the baobab tree and fruits, and the Buffaloafer being based off the African buffalo. Some of the levels are based on natural disasters that occur in Africa, such as tornadoes and wildfires. The Snowmads also have a fish processing plant in the area, likely for both food and ammunition. Many prohibition signs with Donkey Kong's tie on them can be seen in the background in multiple levels.
Levels
Code | Name/Screenshot | No. of Puzzle Pieces | Description |
---|---|---|---|
3-1 | Grassland Groove |

3-2 | Baobab Bonanza |
7 | A forest of baobabs, which produce Giant Spiked Nuts that roll down inclines and have to be avoided. The stage also presents numerous Purple Flower Platforms, which tilt under the Kongs' added weight. Additionally, the level introduces the Buffaloafer enemy. |
3-3 | Frantic Fields |
5 | A level that is themed around a tornado storm and marks the return of Rambi the Rhino. Porcupals debut within this level. |
3-4 | Scorch 'n' Torch |
7 | A level in which the savannah is affected by a wildfire and presents numerous relevant traps such as cremated leaves, fire floor and flaming vines. Patches of tall grass that have caught fire can be extinguished with Water Sacks, which appear for the first time in this level. |
3-5 | Twilight Terror |
5 | The second Rocket Barrel stage in the game, set above a canyon river. The river is inhabited by huge enemies called Horror Gills, which lunge at the protagonists in an attempt to impede them. Other obstacles include giant fish nets that are risen and lowered across the screen. |
3-6 | Cannon Canyon |
5 | A stage that is mainly traversed using Barrel Cannons. On their way, the Kongs must avoid explosives, which also come in large numbers. |
3-A | Rickety Rafters |
5 | A stage with a focus on activating switches in order to put platforms in motion and advance. Switches consist of vines, pressure plates and targets. |
