- The teaser trailer for Illumination's untitled Mario film (pictured) was announced to premiere October 6, 2022, 16:00 ET at New York Comic Con.
- The second free update to Mario Strikers: Battle League was released on September 21, 2022, adding Pauline and Diddy Kong as playable characters, a new Barrel Gear Set, and a new stadium, Planetoid.
- In a Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 13, 2022, Wave 3 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass DLC, containing Merry Mountain and DS Peach Gardens, was announced to release on Holiday 2022; the second free update for Mario Strikers: Battle League was revealed and would release later in the month; and Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party 3 were announced to be released to the Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online service sometime between 2022 and 2023.
- In a Ubisoft Forward broadcast on September 10, 2022, it was announced that Rayman will appear as a playable character in downloadable content for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.
