• The second free update to Mario Strikers: Battle League, which adds Pauline and Diddy Kong as playable characters, a new Barrel Gear Set, and a new stadium, Planetoid, was released on September 21, 2022.
• In a Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 13, 2022, Wave 3 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass DLC, containing Merry Mountain and DS Peach Gardens, was announced to release on Holiday 2022; the second free update for Mario Strikers: Battle League was revealed and is set to release later in the month; and Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party 3 were announced to be released to the Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online service sometime between 2022 and 2023.
• In a Ubisoft Forward broadcast on September 10, 2022, it was announced that Rayman will appear as a playable character in downloadable content for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (pictured).
• The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship Cup 2022 invitational occurred at PAX West 2022 on September 5, 2022 and concluded with player "Strike" as the winner. The competition was streamed live by Nintendo.
