Template:Badge-infobox Slow Go is a badge in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In Paper Mario, it is found in a hidden room in Dry Dry Ruins, near the Super Hammer. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it can be bought from Charlieton for twelve coins. If equipped, Mario becomes unable to run, forcing him to always walk until the badge is unequipped. This does not affect him while he is riding Yoshi.

The Slow Go Badge does not seem to serve any purpose, but Tubba Blubba's Castle contains several sleeping Clubbas that will not wake up if Mario walks by them instead of running. One room in particular is lined with sleeping Clubbas, much more than normally encountered. Since Clubbas do not wake up if Mario walks by them, and since walking is difficult to maintain under normal circumstances without slipping into a dash, the Slow Go Badge seems ideal in that situation.

Merluvlee's prediction in Paper Mario

  • "I see...a Slow Go Badge. In the far depths of the ruins, there's a hidden room beyond where the Hammer lies. You climb up high, then land on the upper edge of the Hammer room. You walk carefully around to find the hidden chest."
