- Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses is announced as the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, set to release on January 28, 2020.
- On January 13, 2020, Universal Parks & Resorts and Nintendo released a music video (thumbnail pictured) promoting the Super Nintendo World theme park area at Universal Studios Japan, which is set to open in the summer of 2020. On the same day, they released new details on the theme park features which include a smartphone app and wristband integration.
- An update for Super Mario Maker 2, featuring new enemies, course parts, a new Master Sword power-up, and a new speedrun mode, was released on December 5, 2019.
- Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 was released in Asia on November 1, 2019, the Americas on November 5, 2019, and Europe and Oceania on November 8, 2019.
