Portrait Battle mode

Can you really get a frame you missed out on in "Portrait Battle" mode, in the 3DS remake? Because, I ain't seeing nothing that says you can do that... see, you don't get any Pearls in "Portrait Battle", therefore you shouldn't be able to get a better frame you didn't get by catching the ghost in the Mansion/Hidden Mansion. I've gotten several gold portraits I've missed through this method, not sure if it works for Platinum frames though..... Kind of makes me wonder if you actually have to collect the pearls or the pearls are just an indicator for what frame you get (like an extra reward except letting you know you've achieved the requirments through said reward...."Pikmin theories (talk) 18:48, 20 October 2018 (EDT)

Yeah, it's pretty cool now you don't have to go through the mansion to get gold portraits of tricky ghost's like Biff Atlas, which can be annoying especialy with some of the late game ghosts. no more having to go through the whole game again just to get that one portrait you missed.Pikmin theories (talk) 20:13, 23 October 2018 (EDT)
