Lean, Mean Ravine
Template:Minigame-infobox Lean, Mean Ravine is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Mario Party 8. Its name is a pun on the saying "lean, mean machine."
Introduction
The camera faces both teams of two players in their respective hovercraft before panning behind them, at which point the screen splits in half (one half per team) and the game begins.
Gameplay
The Wii Remote is held sideways to play this minigame. Each team of two must attempt to beat the other team to the end of the course while avoiding water jets in the ground that will slow them down if hit. The only way to speed up is by going over a ramp. The player steers the hovercraft as one would steer a car. If both players steer in the same direction, the hovercraft will turn sharper. This minigame is rather similar to Canyon Cruisers.
Ending
The winners celebrate on the ending platform, while the losers, still in their hovercraft, are spun around on a water jet behind them.
Controls
- Wii Remote: Move left/right
- Buttons: None
In-game text
